  • "Kacey has made one of my life long dreams come true. As a musician, I’ve mostly stayed behind the scenes and stuck to producing (mostly for other artists), however, my ultimate goal was always to be an artist singing my own songs; but my insecurities in my voice due to not knowing how to sing or not even knowing how to practice killed those dreams pretty quickly. I decided to take the plunge this year and invest in voice lessons and came across Kacey. Within one lesson, I knew that this was the best decision I’ve made this entire year. Since then, Kacey has had me singing songs I never thought I would be able sing. On the surface, I’ve learned how to sing and am continuing to learn; but deeper than that, it feels like my life has opened up. Having someone as knowledgable as her makes it much easier than to try and navigate everything on my own. All thanks to Kacey!"

  • "Kacey has been an absolute dream to work with. She's the best voice teacher I've ever had and I wish I could work with her every day! Her enthusiasm is so contagious and her encouragement really helps with working on the material. I sought her help because she had a background in the music industry already working with artists on developing their sound and that's exactly what I wanted her help with. She's given me so many great ideas and feedback that I'm blown away at the improvement I've made. She's got a ton of experience and I highly recommend her on any project you're working on."

    Stu Basham, Singer/Songwriter

  • "Kacey is an incredible, experienced, high quality vocal coach & songwriting teacher. In my combo sessions, I've been learning so much from her - both when it comes to vocal technique as well as best songwriting practices. Her vocal tips and guidance improved my singing skills tremendously. And her feedback on the songs I am writing is invaluable: She has creative, powerful ideas for additional layers, harmonies, and ad libs that elevate the song to the next level. Plus, it is just so much fun to work with her! Not only am I profiting from her expertise and experience, but I am also enjoying working with her thanks to her great personality! It's such a pleasure! I've been enjoying every session and I am looking forward to continuing to work with her. Dear Kacey, thank you SO much for your support, guidance, and for sharing your talent with me!"

    Carolin Obernolte, Singer/Songwriter

  • "Kacey has the knowledge and skills to help me deep-dive into my vocals and achieve a level of excellence even higher than what I dreamed of. In just a few lessons, I've become more self-aware of my vocal habits and accomplished things that seemed nearly impossible before working with her. She is super patient, focused, and fun! I definitely recommend her."

  • "In just a few weeks of taking voice lessons with Kacey, I have already learned a multitude of ways to improve as a vocalist. She is incredibly knowledgeable and intentional during each lesson about helping me to improve my vocal technique and performance, while also understanding and emphasizing the importance of protecting my voice. On top of being a fantastic vocalist herself, Kacey also has a kind, encouraging and lively personality that makes her lessons all the more enjoyable. I’m fortunate to have Kacey as a voice teacher and would recommend her to anyone interested in vocal training regardless of their age or level of experience!"

  • "I’ve had vocal lessons with many different voice teachers before, however I can truly say Kacey is one of the best voice teachers I’ve ever worked with. Her knowledge on the voice is incredible - I am continuously able to expand my range and am now so much more comfortable singing in general. She takes the time to break a song down with you so you can get the best performance out of it possible. Whenever I’m having an off day, she is so understanding and encouraging. I highly recommend her as a vocal teacher!"

  • "Kacey helped me find my voice not only in singing, but as a woman in the arts. She taught me how to be confident in my abilities and not to shy away from belting and dancing in the studio. She taught me how to use my range and power in songs I thought I would never be able to sing. She has inspired me to never quit music and always keep singing no matter where I go in life. Lessons with Kacey are truly one of the best things you can do!"

Kacey always delivers a challenging and personalized lesson that helps me reach my goals. The results speak for themselves. I've added 4 notes to my high range, reduced stress on my vocal chords, and improved my resonance in just the 4 months I've studied with Kacey."

Cannot recommend her enough!"

My Vocal Philosophy

Celebrate Every Vocal Achievement

This mantra is at the core of everything I do and encompasses everything I believe in as a singer, performer and vocal coach. My top priority is to ensure that you feel confident in your voice, and more importantly, in yourself. To build that confidence, we “celebrate every vocal achievement” — big and small. Whether you challenged yourself with a “silly” exercise, triumphantly hit that one high note you’ve been striving for, or fearlessly tried out your very first voice lesson, it’s all worth celebrating. Being proud in these moments is when the magic happens and your confidence develops.

Lessons Designed Around You

Every singer is unique with different goals and backgrounds. That’s why I don’t follow a one-size-fits all approach or methodology. Your lessons are completely designed around you. It is your time to explore — whether you’re looking for voice lessons, vocal coaching, songwriting, or a mix of it all. While some singers come to lessons to learn all about technique and prepare for shows or auditions, others come to try something new or out of their comfort zone. No matter what, lessons are always a fulfilling and memorable experience.

Freedom From Perfectionism & Comparison

Striving for perfection and comparing yourself to other singers will rob you of the true joy that singing brings. As singers, we have the opportunity to connect with others through music that can heal, unify, and bring hope and happiness. Audiences will not recognize if you are slightly off pitch on a note. But they will recognize how your singing makes them feel. And remember how singing makes you feel. Be inspired by other singers, but know that only your voice can create those special moments for you and your audiences. Show your voice — and yourself — some love, patience, and gratitude to help achieve a mindset free of perfectionism and comparison.

Don’t Think, Just Sing

Sometimes it can feel overwhelming — like there’s so much to remember when you sing. This inevitably leads to anxiety, self-doubt, and tension in your voice & body. While learning healthy technique is always a goal, so is learning how to get yourself in the right headspace that will halt your overthinking and make singing more meaningful. To get out of your head, get into your body. When you’re singing, try shaking out your hands, doing some stretches, walking around the room, or playing with a small object (stress balls, fidget toys, water bottles, or anything else you have around will do the trick.) It truly works wonders. Don’t forget — if it feels good, you’re good.

You Got This

Singing is one of the most invigorating, vulnerable, and powerful things you can do. After all, your instrument is a part of you. When singers find confidence in their singing voice, they find confidence in their inner voice. Your singing journey offers endless opportunities for personal, spiritual, and emotional growth. So enjoy the ride. You got this!
